Definition
Summarizes objects created in master data maintenance.
This term is also the name of a node in groups with a hierarchical structure.
The group name must be unique within a class and has a certain maximum length.
Use
Groups serve to reduce your workload. Objects that are similar can be processed together within Controlling using the group name once they have been brought together in a group.
Note: In Controlling (CO) the class corresponds to the objects that can be grouped.
The following classes are available:
0101 Cost center group
0102 Cost element group
0103 Order group
0104 Statistical key figure group
0105 Activity type group
0106 Profit Center group
0107 Business process group
0108 Cost object group
0109 Chart of accounts group
0110 WBS element group (only for display)
Note: The group name may be a maximum of 15 characters in length and is structured as follows: : <Name>.<Suffix>. The separator between the group name and the Suffix is the period. The <Name> can be a maximum of 10 characters long. The <Suffix> a maximum of 4.
