Definition
Content providers are categorized in SEM-BIC. The following types of content providers are available:
- Change agent
- Internet site (homepage)
- Internet search engine
- News service
- Online database
Change Agent
Homepages can be checked in various ways using a change agent (for example formatting, content, references...). The content is of most importance in a business environment.
Change agents must first be configured. To do this you load the internet page and make the necessary settings.
Internet Site
This concerns the Web site for example of a competitor. Since entry takes place ove the homepage of the site, specifying the latter makes sense.
Internet Search Engine
The World Wide Web can be searched with search criteria using an internet search engine. BIC enables an automization in the Editorial Workbench for this, provided that information requirements are defined in search criteria. To parametrize queries automatically, you must define information on the query syntax for every search engine.
News Service
A news service makes information that can be susribed to available using the internet. To do this, you go to the internet page concerned of the news service and put together such a subscription.
Online Database
An online database is a database, which can be accessed over the internet. The databases are mainly offered by professional providers.
SEM-BIC enables an automization in the Editorial Workbench, provided that information requirements are defined there in search criteria. To parametrize queries automatically, you must define information on the query syntax for every database.
