Use
If you select this option, then valid and invalid values are displayed together in the hierarchy or in the value list.
The display then reflects more closely the actual master data of the system. You can more easily see, for example, the effects on the hierarchy structure if you designate a value as valid again. In addition, this display is also the same as the view of the master data in BW, since the validity concept is not recognized there.
If you do not select this option, then the invalid values are displayed in a separate area.
This display is then closer to the view of the master data that is relevant when the functions are actually performed in the application.
