Use
Select this option to allow direct entry of values in the value list or in hierarchy maintenance.
Dependencies
To be able to enter values directly in the value list or in hierarchy maintenance, you need a special SAP GUI control. With this control, there are several limitations of automatic scripting tools, such as eCATT. If you want to create scripts of this kind for the SAP GUI, you may have to deactivate this option. As a result, the system uses another control that does not have these limitations, but which requires more complicated handling. In all other cases, you should keep this option activated.
For you to be able to use this option, the SAP GUI Controls of SAP SEM Add-Ons have to be installed on the presentation PC.
When you log on using the SAP GUI for HTML, the option is deactivated for the duration of the logon.
