Documentation
Definition
An adjustment to the book value (similar to depreciation) that is made by the inventory-managing unit after receiving the interunit delivery.
Use
The elimination of interunit profit/loss in inventory takes the valuation allowance into account when calculating the interunit profit/loss.
If an interunit loss is incurred exclusively due to the valuation allowance, the system nevertheless eliminates this loss.
Enter a positive amount if the valuation allowance is depreciation. Conversely, enter a negative amount for a write-up.
Dependencies
An interunit loss is only eliminated if the task allows this (see the task definition).
Examples
Flat-rate valuation allowances might be posted for spare parts, whereas such allowances are not permanent and can lead to an interunit loss.
