Documentation
Definition
An adjustment to the book value (similar to depreciation) that is made by the inventory-managing unit after receiving the interunit delivery.
Use
The elimination of interunit profit/loss in inventory takes the valuation allowance into account when calculating the interunit profit/loss.
Use the valuation allowance disallowing losses if you want to prevent the elimination of any interunit loss in the following situation:
First, the system calculates an interunit profit without this valuation allowance. The profit is less than the valuation allowance which results in an interunit loss that is not eliminated.
Enter a positive amount if the valuation allowance is depreciation. Conversely, enter a negative amount for a write-up.
