Documentation
Definition
Defines the default validity of new master data in a special version.
Use
You can mark individual values for selected master data and Customizing settings as being valid or invalid. Such a selection can be version dependent.
If you do not specify the validity of a certain value for a special version, the validity of that value depends on general defaults. This is where you define the default behavior for such values.
Dependencies
Example
You have plan version and an actual version. In the plan version you want all companies created in the system to be usable by default. Therefore, you set the default for the validity in the plan version to valid. In the actual version, you want to use only those companies that are explicitly cleared for the actual version. To do this, you set the default for the validity in the actual version to not valid.
