Definition
An InfoProvider that does not physically store data in BW. A virtual InfoProvider has the same structure as its associated BasicCube.
The virtual InfoProvider is linked to the BasicCube by means of a function module and special consolidation programs for analyzing data in the BasicCube.
Use
You use the virtual InfoProvider to create business reports and analyses.
You define queries to the virtual InfoProvider.
