Definition
Determines whether a hierarchy upload should differentiate between the predecessor characteristic and the successor characteristic in the customizing settings of the field catalog.
Use
If you deselect the indicator, all characteristics that occur in the hierarchy are displayed (with the tag #3#) in the hierarchy folder in the customizing settings of the field catalog of the upload method. The successor of the hierarchy edge is defined in the "Value from" field. You cannot remove any characteristics from the hierarchy folder; you can only change their sequence.
If you select the indicator, two more folders are inserted beneath the hierarchy folder (with the new tag #5#). One of these folders is intended for the predecessor characteristic, and the other one is intended for the successor characteristic in the hierarchy. You can add or remove characteristics to or from both of these folders.
