Definition
Deletes all values of the selected characteristic.
Use
The use of this indicator has the following effects:
- If the indicator is not selected, flexible upload uses an implicit logic when the update mode "Delete All" is executed. For more information, see SEM-BCS documentation in the SAP Library at "Control of Data Collection Using Update Mode."
- If the indicator is selected, the values to be deleted are derived from the selected characteristics. In this case, selecting all characteristics that could have been potentially uploaded has the same effect as not selecting the indicator. However, not selecting all characteristics deletes all values of the uploaded characteristics.
Dependencies
Example
Assume that the characteristics asset main number and asset subnumber exist. The asset subnumber is compounded with (or dependent on) the asset main number, which itself is compounded with the company and the dimension. Suppose that the indicator Delete All: For Each Characteristic Value is selected in the upload method for the asset subnumber. In this case, the characteristics that could be potentially uploaded are dimension, company, and asset main number. Also suppose that the selection contains the dimension and the company, and the upload file contains the following data record:

In this case, all asset subnumbers for company C1000 are deleted.
