Definition
Period status of an organizational unit or combination of organizational units.
Use
Status management distinguishes between two categories of status information:
- The task status
- The higher-level period status that is independent of all task statuses
If you have sufficient authorization, you can close the current period in the consolidation monitor for an organizational unit or a combination of organizational units. Then no more task statuses can be changed for that organizational unit.
Example:
If the period was closed, you can no longer perform posting. You have to wait until the period is reopened.
