Definition

Determines how ordinary depreciation is performed for assets that already have been sold at the beginning of the period.

Use

The setting of the indicator in the additional financial data for noncurrent assets has the following effect:

  • If the indicator is selected, ordinary depreciation in the retirement period is calculated using the original value less the retirement as the base. However, ordinary depreciation is not taken into account for the retirement adjustment to accumulated valuation allowances.
  • If the indicator is not selected, ordinary depreciation in the retirement period remains based on the original value prior to the retirement. In contrast to above, ordinary depreciation is included in the retirement adjustment.
