Definition

Use

You can select either a periodic or cumulative reclassification:

  • Periodic Reclassification

    Select periodic reclassification if both of the following apply:

    • The trigger is not the same as the source.
    • The reclassification takes place in every consolidation interval.

      In this case, during subsequent consolidation you only want to reclassify the value change at the trigger - not the cumulative value.

      Periodic reclassification includes only the values of the current period - that is, both the starting and ending periods in the data selection reflect the current period.

  • Cumulative Reclassification (default)

    Select cumulative reclassification if want to reclassify the entire value of item or account.

    The starting period for the data selection is period 000. The ending period is the current period--that is, the period in which the reclassification is posted.
