Definition
A means of grouping period categories that do not overlap.
Use
A period category group is used to group together multiple period categories in one group. Normally the period categories grouped together in the group complement each other in that different consolidation intervals are provided within one fiscal year (for example, monthly closing in addition to end-of-quarter closing).
