Use

If you have chosen "direct writeoff" as the treatment of negative goodwill in the method, you can use the Exception indicator to control whether to use the settings made under Goodwill Global for the direct writeoff of negative goodwill (indicator off), or to override the global settings in the method definition (indicator on).

If you want to override the global goodwill settings in the method definition, you need to make the corresponding settings for the direct writeoff of negative goodwill in your method on the Neg. Goodwill tab page.
