Instead of mapping a source field directly, you can also map its attribute. When this is done, the attribute value from the master data table (rather than the value of the source field) is allocated to the target field.

Your target field is Consolidation Business Area. The source data structure only contains characteristic Business Area, which has its own master data. However, an attribute of the characteristic Business Area is the Consolidation Business Area. If you map this attribute, the system extracts the value of the business area of each record in the transaction data, determines the corresponding attribute consolidation business area in the master data, and writes that attribute to the field Consolidation Business Area in the target structure.
