Definition

Determines at which consolidation unit the system records eliminatino differences.

Use

The following strategies for posting differences for two-sided reconciliations or eliminations:

  • Consolidation unit from selection 1 or selection 2:

    The system records the differences at the consolidation unit that reports data from the respective selection.

  • Consolidation unit that reports the smaller value or the greater value:

    If you specify a key figure for the consolidation unit, the system records the differences at the consolidation unit that reports that key figure with the smaller or higher amount.

    If you specify an attribute for the consolidation unit, then the relative sizes of that attribute for the consolidation unit and the partner unit determines at which consolidation unit the elimination difference is posted.

The following strategies for posting differences are available for one-sided reconciliations or eliminations:

  • Partner unit:

    The differences are allotted to the partner unit of the reporting consolidation unit.

  • Reporting consolidation unit:

    The differences are recorded at the reporting consolidation unit.

Dependencies

If you select posting strategy that records the elimination difference at the consoldation unit with the smaller or greater reported value, you must also specify a key figure or an attribute for the consolidation unit.
