Definition

Book value adjustment considered as a depreciation that was posted after the interunit delivery of the inventory-managing consolidation unit.

Use

During elimination of IU profit and loss in inventory, the valuation allowance adjusts the calculation of the interunit profit/loss to be eliminated.

Interunit losses are still eliminated even if they exclusively result from a valuation allowance.

If the valuation allowance reflects depreciation, enter a positive amount. For a writeup, enter a negative amount.

Dependencies

Interunit losses are eliminated only if the task definition permits elimination of IU losses.

Example

For replacement parts, the system posts lump-sum valuation allowances that are temporary and can lead to an interunit loss.
