Definition
Sell-side distribution costs are incurred when the group uses cost-of-sales accounting for consolidated income, in which case the distribution costs need to be recorded as part of the cost of goods manufactured.
Use
Distribution costs are used in elimination of interunit profit/loss in transferred inventory to calculate the group cost of goods manufactured and the interunit profit or loss.
