Use

The system calculates the interunit profit/loss in transferred assets to be eliminated as follows:

Transfer of a capitalized asset:

Interunit profit or loss = the buyer's original cost of the asset

            - the seller's closing book value of the asset

            - the seller's incidental costs

            - the buyer's incidental acquisition costs

Transfer of an asset produced in-house:

Interunit profit or loss = the buyer's original cost of the asset

            - the seller's cost of goods manufactured

            - the seller's incidental costs

            - the buyer's incidental acquisition costs
