Use

Select this indicator to capitalize and then directly write off any goodwill that is incurred during consolidation of investments.

Dependencies

In the following Customizing screens for consolidation of investments, you can make global or method-specific definitions regarding the writeoff procedures and items.

In addition to direct writeoff, you can choose the options "extraordinary amortization", "ordinary amortization", "direct elimination" and/or "periodic reduction" for treating goodwill. When multiple options are chosen, you specify in the C/I method which option is to be valid for each method.
