Use

If you select this indicator for a goodwill entry, the consolidation of investement (C/I) activities then process that goodwill entry without regards to the current percentages of ownership:

• In partial divestitures and transfers, the goodwill entry is not reduced or transferred, at all.
• In amortizations, if additions are calculated with direct shares, the system does not calculate minority interest according to the current group share of the upper unit. Instead, to calculate minority interest the system uses the historical percentage of ownership that was effective when the goodwill was incurred. The total original value of goodwill is used to determine the historical percentage of ownership.

Dependencies

Carrying goodwill according to historical ownership is only possible for manual goodwill entries.
