Documentation
Definition
Determines how goodwill entries are inherited by higher-level consolidation groups.
Use
If you set this indicator, the system passes goodwill entries to higher-level consolidation groups - even if goodwill entries already exist for the same consolidation groups and for the same parent/subsidiary relationship. The only time the system does not pass the goodwill entries is when multiple lower-level consolidation groups have goodwill entries for the same parent/subsidiary relationship and those entries have different amounts.
If you do not select this indicator, the only time the system passes the goodwill entries is when the higher-level consolidation group in the relevant parent/subsidiary relationships has empty goodwill entries and the goodwill entries being passed upward by the lower-level consolidation groups are unique.
