Definition

The direction indicator uses the following values for the postings for elimination of investment income.

• The direction indicator equals 1 for postings to the consolidation unit at which the investment income is eliminated.
• The direction indicator equals 2 for postings to the consolidation unit that distributes the dividends.

The direction indicator remains blank for all other postings.

Use

Dependencies

The direction indicator is applicable only if you have activated the accounting technique mutual stock method in system utilization for consolidation of investments (C/I).

The direction indicator values posted in the elimination entries are evaluated in the C/I activity distribution of dividends for consolidation units that use the mutual stock method.
