Definition
Blocking of posting and data entry for financial statement items and transaction types.
Use
When this indicator is selected, you can not enter or post the characteristic value ( item or transaction type) in periods that follow the period of first data entry. The period of first data entry is an attribute of the consolidation unit.
Posting levels 02, 12, 22, and 30 are exceptions: The posting and data entry block is ignored when posting to these posting levels.
Furthermore, the posting block is ignored for document types in which postings are automatically inverted.
