Documentation
Definition
Determines whether the procedure for exchange rate determination requires that a parameter be specified.
Use
Choose this option if you want the selection of the procedure for exchange rate determination in customizing of currency translation methods to display an additional input field. If this option is chosen, you need specify a parameter each for the procedures exchange rate indicator and exchange rate type, both of which are delivered by SAP.
If you want to use this option for a customer-defined procedure, the procedure can be classified through either the selection of a characteristic or the definition of a data element. Regardless of which is chosen, the maintenance of translation methods allows for a list of possible values for the parameter (when values exist).
Dependencies
Example
Assume you want to implement different customer-defined algorithms for determining exchange rates in Business Add-In UC_CTR_XRPROC. However, to keep customizing managable, you want to implement only one new procedure to determine exchange rates (for example, a customer exit). The rules to be used will be distinguished by an additional number when the procedure is used in a translation method.
Choose the option "Enter Parameter". Specify the associated data element. You can also use generic SAP data element (for example, UC_SEQNR3) if the number is assigned in an ad-hoc manner and does not have the characteristic of a master data field.
