Use
Choose this option for currency translation if you want to calculate and separately disclose temporal translation differences. The currency translation indicator initiates separate disclosure. Thus, separate disclosure is independent of whether the item being translated has a subassignment.
You can set the currency translation indicator as follows:
0 - Reference value (transactional)
1 - Currency translation difference (transactional)
2 - Temporal translation difference in reference value
3 - Temporal translation difference in specific value less 2
By combining values that complement each other, the data records can be interpreted as follows:
0+1+2+3: Specific value (= result of the specific translation)
0+2: Reference value (= result of the reference translation)
1+3: Currency translation difference (= difference between specific value and reference value)
2+3: Temporal translation difference (= change in specific value solely due to the change in the exchange rate)
Dependencies
The balance carryforward function converts data records with the value 2 to the value 0, and converts data records with the value 3 to the value 1.
