Documentation
Definition
Costs arising during the manufacture of a product. You can enter these costs for any unit of measure.
Use
During the elimination of interunit profit/loss in inventory, the cost of goods manufactured (COGM) per unit of measure is used to calculate the group COGM. However, this is only possible if you enter a corresponding inventory quantity in the inventory data of the recipient consolidation unit.
If either the COGM per unit of measure, the inventory quantity, or both are missing, the system calculates group COGM from the inventory book value, valuation allowance, and supplier profit percentages.
Dependencies
If you have already entered COGM as a percentage, you can no longer enter it per unit of measure.
COGM per unit of measure can only be used to calculate group COGM if you have also entered an inventory quantity in the inventory data of the recipient cons unit.
