Definition
Specifies the item for posting the net income in a partial divestiture or transfer without an effect on earnings.
Use
In a partial divestiture or in a transfer as an equity transaction, the system posts the net income adjustment without an effect on earnings to the Net Income - Partial Divestiture balance sheet item. This adjustment results from the following postings:
- Net income adjustment from earlier subsequent consolidations
- Suppression of the reduction in goodwill in the partial divestiture or transfer
The postings to the Net Income #Partial Divestiture item also records the consolidation of investments on the items for adjusted statistical net income. The system therefore takes these effects into account in a later total divestiture when it posts the gain or loss from the total divestiture to the income statement.
Dependencies
You can specify the Net Income#Partial Divestiture item only after you have activated the Partial Divestiture as Equity Transaction function in the system utilization for consolidation of investments.
