Definition

Use

With the type of asset/liability you define the debit/credit sign for data entry.

Moreover, under the type of asset/liability you define the posting items that are used in the tasks for capitalization and valuation allowances and the tasks for elimination of interunit profit/loss in transferred assets.

These posting items are defaults, which means that you can define a new item in the master record of the respective asset. However, this does not apply to the following items:

  • Appropriations for asset (which is defined in the tasks for capitalization and valuation allowances)
  • Interunit profits/losses from asset transfers
  • Reclassification of net sales during transfer of self-constructed asset
  • Incidental costs of seller (which is defined in the tasks for elimination of interunit profit/loss in transferred assets)

Dependencies

In manual entry of asset transfers you can select a type of asset/liability for assets sold and assets bought. (Some types might be buildings, machinery and equipment, or vehicles.)
