Use
Specify the posting item as the default setting in the type of asset/liability.
As an option, you can define this as a new item in the master record of the specific asset.
Dependencies
If you have not specified a separate item for impairment charges, the system posts to both the (ordinary) depreciation item and the impairment charge item.
