Documentation
Definition
The tax level defines the hierarchy level to which a tax authority belongs.
Example
- The tax authority Federal (FED) belongs to tax level A (federal)
- The tax authority California (CA) belongs to tax level B (state)
Supplementary Documentation - TXLEV 0001
Use
Definition of tax authority override.
Procedure
When an entry is made in this field, the amount of the tax form field will not contain the amount of the default tax authority of the appropriate tax form, but the sum of all tax authorities that belong to this tax level.
Examples
Some state W-2 tax forms report both state and federal income taxes. In this case, you would define a tax form field with an override tax level 'A' (federal).
