Definition
The unit of measure of the item product quantity that is taken into account for taxation purposes.
For the vast majority of percentage-based taxes, this figure has only a statistical meaning but in some scenarios it may be required for legal reporting.
For quantity-based taxes such as excise duties, this quantity is used to determine the applicable tax value.
In some countries (for example, Brazil), the unit tax rate per sold quantity unit must be stated and the quantity specified here is taken into account for this requirement
