Definition
Tax percentage rate used for the calculation of income tax ('A-tax').
The tax percentage rate is estimated in advance by the tax authorities and shown on the tax card, together with the monthly/fortnightly/weekly exemptions. The employer hands the tax card to the employer at the start of the work relationship or at the start of the year.
If the employer has received the tax card information directly from Told&Skat, the employee does not have to hand the tax card to the employer at the beginning of the year. A text on the tax card tells the employee if this is the case.
