Use

This update type reduces the amount that has already been accrued/deferred (for accrual/deferral with the difference procedure) if the amount of income to be accrued/deferred changes between two accrual/deferral postings, for example:

  • Expenses/revenue paid at the end of the period are posted with amounts that differ from those planned
  • Expenses/revenue from the start of the period are reversed and posted with other amounts
  • A change to the exchange rate affects the amount to be accrued/deferred in local currency
  • A transfer posting reduces a position's profit

Dependencies

  • The offsetting flow must be posted to offset the accrual/deferral flow
  • The P&L account and accrual/deferral account must be identical for positions with transfer postings
