Definition

The consumption sequence procedure for BAPI mode specifies how the part of the position to be "consumed" is determined for outflows in single position management (lot management) in BAPI mode.

The BAPI consumption sequence procedure is only relevant if you had to manually assign outflows to single positions when entering position outflows with the GUI. Since this manual assignment is not possible in the case of BAPIs, an alternative consumption sequence procedure must be defined for BAPIs.

The following procedures are available:

  • LIFO = Last in First out: If you use this procedure, you sell the position that was purchased most recently.
  • FIFO = First in First out: If you use this procedure, you sell the position that has been on your books the longest.

Default Setting: If no consumption sequence procedure is specified for BAPI mode, the FIFO procedure is used.
