Definition
Abstract account symbols are used to make defining account determination easier.
You use the account symbols to define posting specifications, which you then assign to the update types. 1:n assignment is possible, that is, you can assign a set of posting specifications to n different update types.
Afterwards, you assign the G/L accounts to the account symbols. You can make this G/L account assignment dependent on the following factors: valuation area, account assignment reference and currency.
