Use
Defines the grade of detail if detailed periods are required.
Procedure
Besides the total reporting time of a tax form you may need to report more detailed data within the tax form. If so you need to specify the grade of detail in this field. If this field is not maintained the tax data will be cumulated according the total reporting time.
Examples
The federal tax form 941 in general is a quarterly form, but on schedule B, the second side, you may need to report data on a daily base. To gather the correct data this field has be maintained with an time unit 'P'.
Dependencies
The reported data must be stored with the same or finer grade of detail, as well as the fact that the detailed periods should not be larger than the total reporting time.
Supplementary Documentation - TMUNR 0002
Use
Definition of the cumulation period of retroactive results for a tax form group.
Procedure
In this field you define over which period the data should be cumulated in the interface tables once they come from a retroactive payroll run.
The longer the period is, the fewer entries you will find in the interface tables (and therefore the less database space you will use). However, this also decreases the flexibility with which you can use this tax form group.
This information is usually used for correction forms.
Examples
Tax form group 0003 should be used on the Federal Tax Form 941C, which is an on-demand report. You would therefore select 'P' in this field, since you want to produce Form 941C whenever needed.
If you would only want to issue Form 941C along with the quarterly 941, you would select 'Q' in this field since you are only interested in quarterly sums within the correction.
