Definition

Indicates the unique, alphanumeric key for the underpayment and overpayment hierarchy of a payment plan.

Use

You can define the following hierarchy categories for a loan payment plan.

• Underpayment hierarchy

  The underpayment hierarchy determines the order in which an incoming payment for a loan is posted to the open items for this loan.

• Overpayment hierarchy

  The overpayment hierarchy determines the order in which items are cleared with an incoming payment for a loan, when open items defined in the underpayment hierarchy are smaller than the amount of the incoming payment, and have already been cleared. In this case, the remaining amount of the incoming payment is applied to items in the overpayment hierarchy.
