Definition

Indicates the date on which the following take place:

  • All open items in the contract that are included in capitalization are cleared
  • The remaining contract capital is increased by the amount to be capitalized
  • The interest is due for the increased interest calculation capital for the contract

Use

You should ensure that the due date fulfils the following conditions:

  • It is not in the past
  • It is later than the last value date for open items
  • It does not fall after the end of term of the contract

Dependencies

  • If you have made the appropriate settings in Customizing, then you can have the system calculate the incurred interest on arrears on the business operation key date when you execute this function. If the key date is in the future, the system only calculates the interest on arrears up to the current date.
  • You can select interest on arrears that are created as open items for this function.
  • If interest on arrears has already been calculated for the date specified, select a key date that is one day later. Otherwise the interest on arrears calculated would be too high, since open items would be settled by the capitalization of overdue items.
