Definition
Price quotation, in which accrued interest is taken into account in the actual price quoted. Dirty price = clean price + accrued interest. The dirty price references the Payment Currency.
Use
Example
The dirty price is used in connection with early repayments. It is used to determine a reduction in the nominal amount for a money market transaction, for example. This reduction, together with the pro rata nominal interest due, results in the desired repayment amount.
