Definition

This indicator determines the taxability of a tax class.

Possible values

Y - Taxable or pretax
    (included in the employee's reportable wages and taxable wage base)

T - Taxable, but not taxed
    (included in the employee's reportable wages, but excluded from
    the taxable wage base)

N - Not taxable
    (excluded from both reportable wages and the taxable wage base)

What to do

Use Y for wages that are either taxable or allowed as pretax deductions.

Use T for wages that are taxable, but for which no tax is withheld.

Use N for wages that are either not taxable or not allowed as pretax deductions.
