Definition

In a billing document, the tax grouping connects items to tax items.

Use

The billing document items contain net amounts. For external tax calculation, additional tax items are added to the billing document items. The tax grouping connects the items with the net amounts and the tax items. For each item relevant for tax, there must be one or more tax items. Each tax item refers to one or more items.

Dependencies

• You can only use the tax grouping for billing documents with type of tax calculation 06 External Tax Calculation.
• With regard to external tax calculation, it is mandatory for all items that are relevant for posting or where a substitute group for invoice printout is specified.
• In all other cases, no tax grouping may be specified.
• All billing document items with the same tax grouping must have the same tax code for other taxes.
• All billing line items with the same tax grouping must be assigned to the same company code.
