Use

This field is not used in payroll or in reporting.

Procedure

If you give the tax card back to the employee (for example, because they want to have exemptions entered on it), you can enter the date when you handed it over.
You can not enter a date later than today's date.
If this date is set, and you do not have the tax card, you cannot enter information corresponding to the entries on the tax card in the fields of this infotype.
When the employee returns the card to you, you can delete the date and then enter the new tax exemptions.
