Documentation
Definition
One of the additional account assignments for insurance: Year, in which the loss occurred. The year is defined on a customer-specific basis, and can be a calendar year or a fiscal year.
Use
In conjunction with the other additional account assignments for insurance and the standard SAP account assignments, this forms the basis for statutory reporting to the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin).
In Collections/Disbursements for Insurance, the additional account assignment fields are stored as document info when posting a document. When transferring to the General Ledger, they are transferred to a Special Ledger. They are available for evaluations there; for example, if an accounting clerk is looking for the information that is required for reporting to BaFin.
Dependencies
If the reporting year field is also filled, the type of loss can also be determined when transferring to the Special Ledger.
