Definition

A Coverdell Education Savings Account (ESA) (formerly known as an Education IRA) is (in most cases) opened when the accountholder is still a minor. Therefore, the IRS requires that a 'Grantor' should open such an account and that a 'Responsible Individual' (i.e. a parent or a guardian) is assigned to manage an account. Therefore, specific business partner role types have to be associated to an ESA . The roles mentioned above 'Grantor' and 'Responsible Individual' are required. Another specific roles may be 'Successor Responsible Individual', but this role is not required.

When a role is required for an ESA, the checkbox should be set. If a role is optional, the checkbox should not be set.
