Definition

Descrition of the field status. An entry field can have a field status "Required", "Optional", "Display" or "Hidden". A non-entry field can have the field status "Display" or "Hidden".

Note that the field status entered in customizing may sometimes be "overruled" by the program. Example: the nature of a retirement plan is a required entry field when a new retirement plan record is created. Therefore, even if the field status for the field "Nature of a retirement plan" is set to 'Hidden", the field will be visible as a required entry field when a new retirement plan record is created.
