Definition
The variable name is the technical name of the variables. It has a global meaning in the Business Information Warehouse, meaning that it is unequivocal and report-independent. The variable name is only allowed to consist of characters, empty spaces or dashes.
Variables, that begin with a character are delivered by SAP. They belong in the SAP name range and cannot be created or changed by customers.
