Documentation
The time reference for currency translation can either be fixed or variable.
- If the time reference is fixed, exchange rate determination does not depend on the date. This fixed time can either be a fixed key date that is set in the translation key or it can be determined using the system date when currency translation is executed.
- If the time reference is variable, the time of exchange rate determination is decided by the value of a time characteristic. A variable time reference can, for example, be defined using the start or end of a fiscal or calendar year, a period, or a month. It can also be defined as an exact day or by a customer-specific InfoObject (for example, trading day).
Dependencies
In the Business Explorer, you can only set time-variable currency translation in query definition. You cannot set it in a query that has already been executed.
