Definition
A variant is a grouping characteristic of the scheduler. Each InfoPackage and each InfoPackage group is assigned to a variant.
No empty variants exist, however. This means that you must create a variant.
The variant can be 12 digits long and is case-sensitive.
The variant is not recognized by the system until have created and saved an InfoPackage (or an InfoPackage group) for this variant.
After saving a change in the Scheduler the variant is also saved so that this variant is offered again in when next calling up the Scheduler.
Example
You can use the user name as a variant, or even select other names (department names ...).
After saving a change in the scheduler the variant is also saved, so that the user starts with this variant when next calling up the Scheduler.
